Introduction to GC Steel Technology

GC Steel was launched in 2014. Leveraging our proprietary compositional design philosophy and multiple grain refinement and strengthening techniques, this product achieves a uniform ultrafine-grained microstructure while delivering exceptional macroscopic properties, including strength, toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.

Key Features of GC Steel:

1. Fine, uniform grain structure dominated by grains ≤ 1 μm and nanoscale precipitates (see left image);

2. Tensile strength ≥ 2000MPa, yield strength reaches 1300-1600 MPa, with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties;

3. Narrow hardness fluctuation range with good hardenability (consistent surface and core properties for large workpieces);

4. Excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and fatigue strength.

The high-strength steel production technology enabled by grain control can be extended to R&D and manufacturing across diverse industries and sectors. To date, we have successfully completed the development, industrial pilot testing, and mass production of multiple material categories. This technology is widely applicable in defense, aerospace, aviation, shipbuilding, automotive, heavy machinery, ultra-high-pressure vessels, springs, and more.
